At approximately 9:26 pm MDT, our development team released a fix for this issue and other improvements to the tips report.
Frequency: Low to moderate
Description: When running the tips report to "Split Tips Based on Percent of Transaction Subtotal?" and "Include General Staff in Tip Split?", credit card tips may allocate some of the tip to the general staff even though 100% of the tip should have gone to a specialist.
Example: A customer came in for a standalone groom and they left a credit card tip at checkout. When I run the tips report using the "Split Tips Based on Percent of Transaction Subtotal?" and "Include General Staff in Tip Split?" options, I see that the report is giving some of the money for this groom to "General Staff" and some to my groomer even though 100% of the cost from services rendered were from the service that my groomer performed -- meaning they should have received 100% of the tip. I can still see the reservation and service costs on the report, so I can manually account for this.
